These experienced healthcare and business professionals work closely with physician leaders and staff to create clinical and operational excellence in one of the most rapidly growing multi-specialty groups north of Boston.

Michael Newman, MD, FACP, CPE

Michael NewmanMichael Newman, MD, FACP, CPE attended medical school at New York University School of Medicine and subsequently completed his internship and residency at the University of Michigan Medical Center. Dr. Newman completed a fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. Board-certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology, Dr. Newman has been practicing gastroenterology for more than 25 years and has also served in various medical leadership positions over the past 20 years. Dr. Newman has been with Hallmark Health Medical Associates for the past eight years. Initially recruited as the medical director of gastroenterology services, he subsequently took an added responsibility of President and Chief Medical Officer of Hallmark Health Medical Associates (doing business as Tufts Medical Center Community Care) as well as Executive Vice President of Professional Services for MelroseWakefield Healthcare.

Dr. Newman serves on various local committees, each of which focuses on development and growth, physician recruitment and retention, patient engagement and satisfaction and quality of care. Dr. Newman is also a member of the Hallmark Health Medical Associates Board of Directors, the Hallmark PHO Board of Directors, the NECQA Board of Directors and the Medford Ambulatory Surgical Center Board of Directors. Dr. Newman is completing (over the next two semesters) his MBA with a focus in healthcare.

David Miller, MD, MA

Miller, MD, MA, attended medical school at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and completed his internship and residency training in internal medicine at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, also in St. Louis. David is board-certified in Internal Medicine. Immediately following residency, Dr. Miller was a hospitalist for two years. He has been a practicing primary care physician (PCP) since relocating to the Boston area in 2000, initially at Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates (in Peabody) and, most recently, in the Bulfinch Medical Group at Massachusetts General Hospital. In addition to patient care, Dr. Miller served as a continuity clinic preceptor for internal medicine residents at MGH. He also served on various committees within his practice. Dr. Miller has a particular interest in quality and safety issues.

Melissa Garrett Kingston

Melissa-Garrett-KingstonMelissa Garrett Kingston has been with Hallmark Health Medical Associates since 2007.  Prior to joining HHMA, she held financial analyst and controller positions with Massachusetts Eye and Ear Associates and Partners Healthcare System.  Melissa earned her MBA from Suffolk University and her Bachelor of Science degree in finance and marketing from Boston College.

Lori Barrett, RN, MBA

Vice President of Operations for Hallmark Health Medical Associates and MelroseWakefield Healthcare Professional Services
Lori Barrett, RN, MBA, will be responsible for further development and growth in planning, directing and coordinating operations for primary care, OB/GYN, medical/surgical specialties and our Patient Access Center. She will also work closely with the executive vice president to identify and implement strategies that optimally align hospitals and physicians within the Professional Services division.

This easy-to-use web tool is a convenient way to book appointments, request referrals, renew prescriptions, view medical records/test results and communicate with your healthcare provider from the privacy of your own computer.
